Day 66

"Science Lab"

Today, in Biology, I learned how to dissect a pig! I was very interesting and very cool. I can't wait till tomorrow because we are going to finish the rest of our lab.

Every time we go on a walk we always pass this gate with the little lamp on the side and always wanted to take a picture of it.

"Just think"

Well after a long day of traveling,  we got to see on the way home a very beautiful sunset in the car. Just sitting back and thinking about all the wonderful things that God has created for us to enjoy, just AMAZING! 

Day 63

"There's just something about...."

Every Sunday morning you never know what to expect when Owen comes down stairs after getting dressed for Church.  He truly has his own sense of style and just LOVES to dress up with his many ties and other accessories.  I've just gotta say....."There is something about Owen that is so unique and special"   As all our kids are SO very special and unique to us.  So thankful and beyond blessed!!!

Day 62

"PlayDough"

It's one of those things in the house that doesn't come out very often...but when it does it's a big treat to play with.  After LOTS of cleaning for Saturday morning, it was time to "make a mess" again, so they decided to make "ice cream and cake" out of their playdough.  Kept them busy for a little while.  By the way don't you like Owen as a Alligator?  

Day 61

"2 things growing"

As each day goes by it's exciting to see Abigail growing and changing.  It's hard to believe she is already 17 weeks old!   But to our surprise...they are other things growing as well.  For it being the dead of winter....Feb. 23rd, we are seeing Daffodils growing already.   It's been so warm this winter, it's almost like spring.  I guess with all the warm weather...we'll start to see spring flowers as well.  Go figure!

Day 60

"Back in a cast"

Well after a cut finger with a pocket knife, stitches, finger brace, & now a cast...hopefully we are on our way to a straightened finger.   We have one month in this and then some therapy to get it back in working order.  Hopefully after ALL of this...."someone" will learn a lesson on thinking before we do things!  : )

"Back to School"

Today, we are starting school back up again after a wonderful time with our friends at the Great Wolf Lodge.

I had the best time ever at the Great Wolf Lodge!!! Tons of funny memories and stories that will forever make me laugh!

Day 57

"Traveling"

The kids love rode trips especially when we are going somewhere fun.  Today's trip was only 4 hours but they couldn't wait to get out of the van and get to the water park.  It's always fun to eat snacks, watch movies, and try and keep yourself busy while confined to the van.

"Getting Ready"

Time to get our nails and toes done for the Great Wolf Lodge.  Want to make sure they look nice before we go to the water park.  None the less....we had fun pampering ourselves for a bit.

"Babysitting"

Today was a catch up around the house and also a time to watch 2 extra kids.  But this was a great day all around.  Having friends over kept my kids busy...so I had to time to clean and catch up on things around the house.  The girls made brownies with LOTS of sprinkles on it!

"Our Walk"

Days like this in winter time is a great chance to get outside...burn energy....and just have fun!  Since the weather was warmer we packed everyone up and fed the ducks and this time they found "cat tails".  They had a ball with these!  They picked a bunch of them and had fun spreading the "fluff" everywhere!  So after walking, chasing birds, and getting their new discovery....we had a fun and adventurous walk!

"Just died:"

Well the baby swing we had for 6 years decided to just stop working.  Oh how I loved this swing!  It went from working in the morning to just completely stopping by the afternoon.  We are now in the process of finding a "new" or "used" one.  This is an essential when you have baby....so hopefully we find one ASAP!

"Sportin' the surprise"

One of their surprises were M & M shirts....they just loved them and couldn't wait to wear them today.  It's funny how the personality of the shirt really matched theirs!  So cute and colorful!

"Valentine Surprises"

It's always fun to surprise your family with gifts.  Today was one of those days to just show them how special they are and how much they are loved.  Even Daddy was surprised by his "special gifts".   It was just a great day all the way around and everyone felt a bit more loved and special!  

Day 48

"It's HERE!"

Who would of known that after a small defect in my regular kindle.....would end up with the latest version of the kindle fire!  Wow....when it came in the mail today I didn't know what to expect but....I sure do enjoy it.  I'm still trying to get familiar with it and of course the kids know how to work it better than I do!  Boy technology has come a long way since I was their age!!

"Teen Ministry"

I ♥ our funny and crazy group!Today, the teens got to do a new black light presentation. It was so much fun! We wore white gloves and everything else we wore was black. We did different images to Casting Crowns' song "Who am I"

"3 Quick Years"

As I sit and reflect on 3 years ago today that my little Sarah was given to us...it's amazing to see how she has changed and her little personality is coming forth.  I am truly grateful for her and I cherish every year and everyday that we are given together.  She was SO excited for it to be HER birthday....and finally today came and she enjoyed every minute of it! To many more years together and many more memories!!!

Sarah's birthday is tomorrow but today she REALLY wanted to have fun celebrating at ChuckECheese!  So we packed up for a couple of hours and made some memories playing games, and getting tickets to buy a plastic spider ring!  But at the end of the day...the birthday girl got her wish and we all enjoyed some family time making memories together.  That's what it's all about!

Cookies was today's business.   It was a fun and different afternoon for the 5 oldest kids.  They spent the afternoon with Miss Merle and enjoyed baking, decorating and of course eating a few!  All the cookies turned out really well.  You can really see their personality come through in their designs.

"Morning and Night"

Nothing like waking up to a beautiful sun rise to get your day going.  It's so pretty to see all the colors that God paints and we have the ability to see and appreciate.  Then as we close our night our little pumpkin all fresh out of the tub in her new pink bath robe.  She's such a pleasant baby and it's a perfect way to end the day....a bubble bath and cozy jammies!

"Trying it out"

Today was just your normal Tuesday....but as we took a short walk out back Emma got to try out the belly pack for Abigail.  She loved it!  It's fun for Abigail and now Emma has a new way of carrying her baby sister around.   (when Mommy & Daddy don't have her 1st)

"Waiting"

All day today we have been listening to the radio waiting to win tickets to go see Casting Crowns at the Delaware State Fair. Last chance to win tickets ends tomorrow.We will see what another day of waiting will do.

Day 38

"Getting ready for Valentines!"

Getting ready for church can sometimes be VERY hectic, but on days like today we captured a child's heart (literally).  Owen decided to make a heart out of his toast this morning.  He's getting ready for Valentines Day next week.  He's ready to make a bunch of paper Valentines too this week.  So sweet....so priceless!

"Hoagie"

Tonight some of us had a hoagie (aka: sub) for dinner! We went to Capriotti's and Wawa to get them.... one from each place. So we are ordering our hoagie and it was asking us what size we wanted and ended up with this BIG box! And I thought it was really funny walking out with a cardboard box in hand with our dinner in it.    :)

"Invasion"

Every year about this time, the dreaded "stomach bug" arrives at our house.  It's one of those things you just can't seem to avoid.  No matter what you do it just always seems to make it way back into our home!  So this time we are all trying to be look at it on the positive side and be grateful that it's not messing up our plans for fun.   It's a fact of life....but most of all it makes you appreciate all the healthy days we have!

Day 33

"Dinner"

Tonight I (Olivia) made a whole dinner. (with my mom's supervision) I was able to learn how to make meat loaf, but actually do it myself. Tonight I made meatloaf, mashed potatoes, green beans, broccoli, corn, apple sauce, biscuits, and macaroni and cheese. It made me realize just how much work really goes into making a nice dinner. So after a long afternoon of preparing, pealing, cooking, serving, and helping clean up I was able to serve a meal! So now I am exhausted and ready to go to bed........ sounds really nice now!!!!!

"Fun at the Thrift Store" 

Today we had beautiful weather outside, so we decided to take a walk down to the Salvation Army (today was half price) we had having so much fun there laughing at Evan with the suspenders. We did got a few things too....... just not the suspenders!
